Please, please help me out here. Katie and Natalie have the chance to attend Space Camp next Spring with thier 6th grade class. I need ideas that they can do to help earn money for this. They are only 11 so they can't get jobs. LOL It has to be stuff that can make and sell, or whatever. I really need some good ideas. Thanks in advance for any help you offer us.

Well, let's see...if your girls are crafty, they can make friendship bracelets and sell those.

Is the class doing any fundraising as a group? If not that might be something to think about. What about pet/house sitting for neighbors? If you'll be home over the winter holidays, there is always business at that time of year. Megan paid for her bike that way and that was just one neighbor. Jewelry? Bake sale at a school function with goodies decorated in school colors? Do they have things they would be willing to sell on eBay? What about simple fleece hats or small blankets where you tie the fringe of two pieces of fleece together? How are they at wrapping gifts? Could they set up a gift wrapping service around the holidays? Face painting for neighborhood kids? Last year Evan bought gourmet lollipops and sold them to friends at school and swim practice. I don't remember where you live but what about leaf raking in a month or two?

That's about all I can think of right now. If I think of anything else I'll let you know.

I'm guessing it is similar to the Challenger Program that Zeph and

raking leaves will be just around the corner and snow will be coming if you live in that part of the country.

It amazes me that our out of state school group could contract a better price than an instate school group.

While I didn't pose the original question, I love these ideas for my family. I'm always looking for ways to trim our budget and these were terrific food for thought! Thanks from me and my family. :)

Heather they are all good ideas. We've been working on the same type of thing, going to all cash and just paying off all our debt and its amazing when you start looking at little habits how much money they suck out. We need to get back on track with it, we fell "off the wagon" when DH lost his job last fall and started his own business and we used up all our savings getting it up and running. But in the long run, its so worth it, and it gives you so many other options.
