Does anyone else feel like the #1 never ending chore is laundry?

Yes, I try to do a load every weekday. There are just the 4 of us but with bedding and all that, if I miss a day or two I really pay for it over the weekend!

Sounds like you've got a good system going. My kids practice at the local high schools and Evan is a high school student so he's comfortable. Megan uses the locker room long after the high school girls are gone. Whew! Sadly, the issues we had in the locker room a few years ago were with some of the older boys in Evan's own practice group. Doesn't seem to be an issue now.

Ahh, he doesn't use the locker room. The jr. college he practices at shares the same locker room with the sports teams. Sadly the college atheltes are not role models with the profanity and rude gestures. While dressed they are physically intimidating so I can image its unpleasant to be a smaller kid with them mulling around naked. Not an atmosphere Z. is comfortable in. He just dries off on deck and slips his sweats over his jammers.

I've heard nasty things about the germs in locker rooms so I insist they only use towels that leave the house once, then I wash them on Sanitary. I also put wash, dry and fold a load of towels on the list of chores the kids are assigned each week.

I would go nuts with all of those towels. Zeph gets one beach towel per week. It gets hung up after each practice and dries overnight and back into the backpack it goes. A couple of times he forgot to hang it up and had a wet towel after practice, but he figured it out quickly. He always comes home to shower and has a clean towel for that.

With the 3 of home for 3 meals a day (most days), the dishes add up quickly. None of my pots go in the dishwasher so there are always dishes to do by hand.

Absolutely, yes! With a dh that works out 3x/week and two kids that swim at least once a day and use a clean towel each time (two if they're at a meet) laundry is more a process than a task to be completed here. My #2 task in the kitchen floor. With a dog and 4 humans coming in and out directly into the kitchen, it gets really dirty, really fast. Cooking Is a very close 3rd. Athletes are always hungry!!! Dh and the dishwasher do the dishes so I'm not including that. :)

Around here laundry is #1, with dishes a close second.

Dishes is the one chore DH actually does with relative frequency, so I don't usually have an issue with dishes, but laundry, yes, completely and utterly the worst neverending chore!

Same here!! DH does the dishes and I do the laundry. I never feel "caught up", no matter what I do, ugh!!
