Welcome to the board! I'm tracy, the cl here. I have a 16 year old daughter, a 12 year old stepson that visits during summer and holidays, and DH and I have a 2 and 4 year daughters also.

We used to have another member of the board who was a middle school science teacher and I am pretty sure she had her DD in her class one year also. Also an interesting dynamic to have your son, and DSS in your case, in your class. I'm sure you will be a wonderful wealth of info for us. We were actually having a discussion on the surviving middle and high school board about the possible cost savings of school districts converting over to electronic textbooks, I'd love your insight into it if you have a chance and have some knowledge about it.

Hi
My DD is 11 and in her final year of primary (elementary) school. We live in Scotland.
My mum was a teacher in the elementary school that I went to but never taught me. She taught my brother for a couple of weeks and he hated it! But he didn't like school very much in any case

Welcome!I am Laura and I have a 15 year old daughter. She will be a sophmore 2 weeks from today. She tells me she stil misses ms.At her ms they always had two teachers for each subject so most of the teachers who had kids in the school did not get them, the kids just got the other teacher.Last year my daughter actually andall the hsers actually used the ms for classes since they were remodeling her hs,then the 7th and 8th graders used an elem school as did the 5th graders and the th graders had their own wing aways from the hs kids. The new hs should be opening by Sept 6.So I am thinking once she is in the new building she may start to like hs as much as she did ms.What typw of science do you teach?

Welcome. You do have your hands full witha preschooler and 2 teens! I have a dd 17 and a Senior in HS and an 8th grade ds. My kids both love school. They are involved in a ton of activities and sports. Dh has only been working sporatically, as he is an electrician and the economy has been so bad, I work part time.
