**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

DYK DH & I are not huge flip flop fans but we tolerate it...figure Rach will find out on her own that they're not always good to wear

DYK for instance when we were at the beach & walking on the sidewalk one nite after playing mini golf she tripped twice...we said maybe when walking a decent distance (10 blocks or so that time) it'd be better not to wear them

DYK she just said yeah, ur right ;-)

DYK yes, I'm in agreement w/you there...there may be health reasons for bathroom use that aren't apparent to teachers

I'd be ok with sending in money for a lego kit.Howevr the 2 pairs of sneakers kind of send me over the top.Gabby is in show choir and I knw I'll have to buy a tee shirt for that. She needs it in case they go on field trips.I don't mind that either.I do get sick of putting out a ton of money on project supplies.I honestly don't think they need to be doing a project every other week. The kleenex does not bother me.That was actually the only thing we ever had to bring in when Gab wa sin elem.I was just annoyed that on the 1st day of school some of the teachers were telling the kids they did not have the right stuff when they bought everything that was on the blasted list.I really don't want to take back binders and pens and replace them with something else.If you send home the list, excect what we bring in.

Gabby lost a flip flop a few weeks back.MY FIL lives in the country. It was after dark and Gabby and her cousin were running around the propert after dark in flip flops,Gabby tripped on a twig and off flew the flip flpo.I could not evn find it the next day. This was after we did ask her to put on sneakers,The lose of the flip flop wasn't a big deal, but they are not practical in the wood, even on a path after dark. Then a few weeks later one of her friends was running around in them and she ripped her toe nail off.Taht night Gab did have sneakers on,even though she was annoyed with us because we insisted on them,

dyk we also have a fee to pay if they are playing any sports

dyk last year I had to pay a 10 fee for Omar in his photography class, which again I so understand

dyk this year they started having the ms kids take those classes at the high school

LOL, two pairs! They are lucky if the kids bring one!!

I made Alexis take a pair of old tennis shoes for gym, I'm not buying cheer, regular and gym shoes in one season at $60 each!
