**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

Thats neat. And yes it was for some type of grade.Today they had a pop quiz on the lab rules Gabby got a 5/6.They had to look at these piectures and say what was wrong with the picture.Gabby put the boy was holding the wooden stick over a flame and it could catch fire. However it had to do with the shirt sleeve catching fire.It would be nice if she was actually getting tested on scientific concepts. Then again he took 5 points off of their grdae on Tuesday if we did nt go out Monday night and buy a notebook,we knew nothing about until Monday night. You would think he would give them a few days to get something.Plus it really isn't the kids fault,if his parent did not rush right out to get the notebook, after her told them they needed loose leaf on his class supplies list.I did rush out to get the notebook, because Gab would have drove me nuts.It is going to be a long 18 weeks!

DYK are start times different for Andrew & Amanda? In our county HS starts first, then MS & last ES. But in some other neighboring counties ES starts first, then MS & last HS.

DYK yes the 2nd yr language courses aren't offered for some reason at the MS...also last yr Rach had a friend that took algebra at the HS so some advanced math classes evidently have to be taken at the HS too

DYK she was freaking out but I kept telling her that at least she'll know her way around the school in 2 yrs plus she'll have her foreign language requirement out of the way since she gets HS credit already

DYK its not raining now but is still overcast, cool & damp. The soccer coach decided to have practice anyway, plus there's a parent meeting afterwards.

DYK Jamie will definitely need to take a shower when she gets home

apparently, it was much better today. I didn't hear her coughing at all. And she didn't cough in band. I have eyes on her in band. One of my homeroom students who is a resource student is in her band class, so he gives me a report EVERY day. "She was good today." "She coughed a lot today." and today he told me, "She didn't cough in class today."
