DYK Thread for October

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

Does Masison have a blocked tear duct?Gabby was born with one and when she was a baby it would water constantly.Everyone always felt the need to tell me about it as if I could not see the watering. If it would get too goopy I'd take her to the drs and sometimes her would give me anticbotic drops since she was a tiny baby.I would massage it and it just went away when she was 6 months old.No eye problems since then.

Thanks!

I usually work Saturday and Sunday during the day, Monday night, and Tuesday morning.

I picked up some extra hours today. It was very quiet and boring today though, not much to do.

I think it was the longest 4 hour shift I have ever worked, lol.

They lost last night.

It's the first time they have lost this season :(

Abby is a better offensive player, or at least I think so!

DYK that I can't remember what Nikki's vb team record is but it's not so good. I don't love her coaches and have no connection to the team in general, but this is the second year in a row that she's ended up with the same coaches. She's much better than she was last year at serving, but still not perfect. We're a ways away from an overhead serve.

DYK my shopping was not all that happy. I got in line to check out in the trainee's line. I have nothing but patience for people learning things and can understand having trouble with the register, but anyone who's shopped at a grocery store more than 10 times should have a clue how to use a barcode reader and bag food, IMO. And she tried to throw my iced coffee away. It was still half full and still had ice in it. I stopped her and she said "Oh, this is yours?" Umm, it was in my cart, whos else could it be???

I'm wondering how many years Amy has done soccer. My kids couldn't get into it. My daughters don't have that soccer instinct. Both of them played a couple seasons and could never bring themselves to try to take a ball away from another girl, LOL.
