Too cute. He'll change him mind later but seems his body is a bit ahead of him right now. Great response mom and I love your phrase of 'his bit standing tall'. That's a classic. :-)
Too cute maybe you can get him an age approiate book and just leave it in his room,so he can read it.How great he came to you to talk.I doubt Gabrielle would ever talk to her dad about puberty. Her and i chat all he time, but like your ds she does not want TMI,so that is where he age apporiae books help out.As long as they feel free to come to you that is a good thing.I do have the feeling though they don't want to hear to much from you.I know I did not want to hear it from my mom,it was just yucky for some reason and I could talk with her. Also he may want to talk to dh too.
I think I am going to be in big trouble in a few years. My 8-year-old has already been complaining about that problem!!!! He's nowhere NEAR puberty. Yikes.
Another good book is The care and keeping of you.It is the Am girl book,it pretty much just explains the basics of becoming a women. The firs time readi it she wa sin 4th grade and she told me don't worry I skipped all the gross parts. The part about her period and tampons. But she had it then she was able to ask me what she wanted me to know.Although since I am in my mid 40's Gab always teases me about menopause. There is anothe rbook I got Gab but I can't rem the title,it goes a lot deeper into the sex stuff and diseases and such.I'll check out the title later.

**I did ask him if he wanted to know why his body was changing and he said no, not right now.
Laura mom to Gabrielle
Do you have the American Girl book, "The Care and Keeping of You?"--that's a great resource! I wish there were a similar one for boys.
