Okay, can I vent please

Today is just one of those days and I'm going to explode if I don't say something. Day started out well... Got Megan off to her first day of art camp just fine. I had to go to traffic court for a speeding ticket I got in May. I lucked out and the officer didn't show so the case was dismissed. Things just went downhill from there. The neighbors are moving out and FOUR times today their moving company blocked our driveway and it just so happened I was in a hurry all FOUR times. I went to pick up Evan at his camp and the whole frickin' area is under construction. There are two entrances to the park, one on the north end and one on the south end. We're supposed to use the south entrance. Well, I get there and the road is blocked by construction. I head to the north entrance and stop and a camp staff type wearing a security vest and ask where I should pick up my son. He directs me to the north entrance. I go there after running into two other construction dead ends only to find out that it's another camp... They tell me to follow the road through the park to get to the pick up for Evan's camp. Well I follow the road and obey the one way signs only to find myself back out on the street where I ran into the first dead end!!!! I finally parked my car and started walking through the park to try to find them. In my wanderings I ran into a kid from the camp and he said, "hey, are you looking for Evan?" When I said yes, he said, "oh, I don't know where he is" At this point I was sooooo frustrated with my whole day that I said several things I shouldn't have to him. I'm going to have to apologize to him tomorrow. I really laid into him because I thought he was being a smart aleck and I really didn't appreciate it. As I continued racing frantically through the park (a ten acre area on a lakefront) I ran into two other moms looking for kids from the same camp. They offered to give me a ride while we looked for our kids. Eventually, we ended up finding them but the whole escapade took half an hour!!
When I went to take Evan to swim practice an hour later, the stupid movers were blocking the driveway AGAIN! They were apologetic but still...

Oh, and in the middle of all of this, the kids were playing outside and Megan (8 yo) took her shoes off outside and walked across our muddy yard in her WHITE socks. Then about 30 seconds later, Evan came in the house with a mudball the size of a baseball! AHHHHHHH!!!

This was just one of those days when nothing goes smoothly. I feel awful even complaining about this stuff because there are people out their who lost everything in floods, who have lost loved ones in Iraq, and many other things that I can't even imagine.

P.S. Did I mention that Dh and I had a HUGE fight yesterday and I'm still worn out from it?

Thanks everyone! Today was MUCH better. Things were a little smoother and I made a big effort to take things in stride. It seems to have done the trick!
