Here's what happened to us between 4 and 6:30 yesterday. Dropped Megan off at gymnastics and took Evan to the allergist for a shot. After the shot he needed his inhaler (asthma) so we went home to get it. IT WAS EMPTY!!!! He's supposed to be at swim practice in 20 minutes... So I drop him off and go to get the inhaler. On the way I realize I don't have my wallet. When I try to call in the refill my cell doesn't work!!! I go home to get my wallet and call in the inhaler refill... Ooops, no refills left and the dr's office (which we had come from at 4:30)is closed! I explain the situation and the woman puts me on hold. Meanwhile, Evan is at the pool wheezing and coughing. The pharmacy tech comes back on and says they can help me. So I go to get it (it's about 5:45 by this time and Megan is finished at gymnastics at 6:00 and I still have to get the inhaler and get it to Evan first). I get to the pharmacy and it's not quite ready. I explain the situation again and the tech bumps the script ahead in the line. So I go up to pay for it and guess what... She tells me our insurance was terminated!!! (I had a feeling this was going to be the case because dh's company screwed up payment one month and it's all a mess) So I pay full price for the inhaler and high-tail it to the pool. Get it to Evan and make sure he's okay. He seemed fine within about 5 minutes. Oh, in the meantime dh called my cell (I could get incoming calls but not make them... How weird is that?) and then called the gym to let them know we'd be late. We finally meet up at the gym and get Megan (20 minutes late!) and head to family night at church where we got dinner and then I turned right around to pick up Evan from practice and head back to church. Whew!!!!!
What a night! I said lots of thank you prayers last night though. We got HUGE help from the pharmacy and the people at the gym and everyone ended up healthy and safe!!!
