about my health. Went to the endocrinologist today and the lower number on my blood pressure is up, my resting heart rate is up, my weight is up... NOT GOOD!! Between the mess with dh's job and the usual stuff with the kids, I just haven't been taking good care of myself. Not eating well, not exercising, and just plain stress are taking their toll on my body. Time to stop making excuses and get back on track. As the doctor said to me, "in terms of your health, you don't get that many do overs. Please take care of yourself".

I have to have the usual blood work done to check thyroid levels but I wouldn't be surprised if she snuck a complete blood work up in there. She's done it before. :) Thank goodness. She's just a wonderful doctor and human being. She genuinely cares about the welfare of her patients, takes the time to listen (I think she spent 45 minutes with me today), remembers about your kids and your lifestyle, etc.

Anybody else on a health kick?

i have been thinking really serious about it lately. I know i need to start. If not I am going to be in some big trouble soon. Take care and get that motivation going.

Good luck with your new goals

I post over at the fitness and health board. I needed to work on a few things. I needed a place to be held accountable. :)

I have been going to Curves. Is there one near you? I think they make it easier for women to exercise. It's fun and I like to talk to people there and the music usually makes it fun, too. Especially on these winter days, an indoor place is good.
I'm concerned about my health lately, too...mainly my legs...so it makes it hard to walk or exercise a lot.
I'm going to do the best I can.
