DYK Thread for December

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

well, for the 3 hurricane days, they did Jan 5, and then added on 15 minutes to 56 days, until Easter holidays.

For the 2 snow days, they extended the extra 15 minutes until the end of the school year and added a day at the end.

In all the years since Aly was born (and I daycared kids), they have never had to make-up days. They used to have 5 emergency days and got rid of those a few years ago to have just 2 because they never used them. Then, Katrina & Rita came, but the state legislature excused those days and we didn't have to make them up. So this is the first year in over a decade that we'd have to make up days. The school state superintendent refused to bring it to state legislature.

Aly has a few loose teeth now. They take forever to fall out. They took forever to break the gums when she was little, too.

DYK its a workout session so she won't be able to breathe as well as usual so she may tire out faster too. I told DH to make sure she brings some extra Gatorade/Powerade since decongestant usually dries you out
