DYK Thread for December

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

DYK Good morning Mindy! Is it cold enough up there for natural or man made snow? It was warm here on Sunday, close to 60.

DYK Rach has been busy w/her social life -- movies, ice skating & of course texting now that she has a new cell phone. Rach didn't see many listings for volunteer hrs the week between Xmas & New Yrs, most were before Xmas so we didn't bother. I told her she should line some hrs up a month or so ahead of time - for instance the ES has a spring carnival that she'll probably work at for the day to get hrs. She can do it w/her friends also, which I'm sure is a big plus.

DYK there are sunlamps that you can buy to help w/SAD? It really helps people w/severe SAD from what I hear as well as those that live in the far north such as Scandanavian countries & Alaska where winter is totally dark

DYK looks like a fun trip, thanks for sharing the pic...is your hair still that long? Mine was a little longer than yours but then I got it snipped to shoulder length for the Locks of Love so its probably similar in length to Aly's

DYK I generally don't get sweet & sour or General Tso's chicken since I tend to stay away from fried stuff....Chinese food generally isn't fried....I think these are Americanized dishes

Just curious.

Alexis and I are discussing adding a tumbling class this fall once she is done with competitive dance to help with cheer.
