DYK Thread for December

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

Don't call him at work. But if you do think about it when you see him, please do. And like I said, I'm not embarrassed to ask, so you can tell him who's asking...I just didn't want it big & loud on the board.

Last year they telling us the Comcast(our cable providoer)could not come to an agreement with fox and that we were in danger of losing FOX,but at the last min they agreeded. We are thinking of switching to Fios, but not sure since with cable we don't need a box for every tv,but with fios you do and it is $10 a box and we would need 4.

I hope they make an agreement. In my hometown, we got Baton Rouge AND New Orleans channels of the big 3 (before we had Fox...we didn't get Fox until I was a senior in high school....so no 90210 before then..had friends a couple hours away that were insane of 90210).

Thanks for the info!!

I'm so glad you explained it to me, because if I'd asked my DH, I would have been in for a half-hour lecture on knee anatomy and the benefits of arthroscopic surgery, LOL

You explained it very concisely and I appreciate that

I wish you a lot of luck with your surgery!

That is so sweet Michael explains everything medical to you when you ask.I do have to ask however do you sometimes prentend to be interested/;-).At least you know what Michael does.I am not really sure what Dale does 1/2 the time.I know he viists different plants/offices and looks for safety stuff as well as enviromental stuff ,but I am unsure what that involves.

You and Aly look so cute together!

How fun to go to the Grand Canyon

Did you go camping?

I would love to take my kids there

I'm a huge caffeine addict too

I have 2 cups of coffee to get me going in the morning, and then "graduate" to Diet Pepsi as the afternoon wears on

I'm drinking one now, LOL

My DH keeps telling me to drink more water and less caffeine, and I never do

I only have 1 brother

He never cooked, but now his wife left him in July, and he has almost full custody of their two kids (!!)

He is being forced to cook for them

I think they do a lot of pizza and Happy Meals and frozen junk

He is my mom's favorite, so I know she brings over homemade Greek food for him, too

He probably DID cook when his wife was still there, though, because she was pretty worthless

(Not that not cooking makes you worthless. . . I don't cook much, LOL. . . But she didn't do much of anything but flirt with other men)

Thanks.

We stayed in a cabin. Aly refused to camp (I was secretly right there with the decision...lol). The cabins AT the North Rim were full, so we stayed at Jacob Lake. Worked out well...we saw Kaibab squirrels and Aly, along with our friends (ornithologists) made a rare bird sighting which was published with her name (and theirs).
