DYK yes, Jamie would rather cough & snuff than blow her nose....esp since its chapped but I have made a point to tell her its better to blow & get it out. Also I try to make sure she gets lots of fluids since she's also taking decongestant which tends to dry u out.

it's improved. We're on day 11, I think. Her cough usually lasts 10-14 days. I tried to get away without any cough syrup at all, but then she had a major coughing fit, turning red and everything. She threw a fit when I gave her the meds.

You probably get most books a lot cheaper from scolastic. Not sure what Gab will get at Barnes and Noble. She also has a Visa gift card so she wants to go to bath and body works,Plus she has some stuff she wants to return.I am hoping the mall isn't too crowded. We don't have a Books a Millon her.We always visit them when we go to Destin FL.

probably not YOUR next time, but maybe the next. My hair takes forever to grow. After one very small trim, my hair is only about an inch or 2 longer than it was after I cut the 10 inches off.

How early did you leave work today since you had the girls with you?

DYK it was hilarious to see some of their interactions w/my coworkers....one guy in his early 50s graduated from the HS Rach is taking the Chinese class at. She wasn't too impressed by that ;-)

DYK then my one coworker Aaron who is in his 70s (no joke he's around the same age as my FIL) came over to say hi & impart some pearls of wisdom. Jamie just kept rolling her eyes at me and saying "I know" when A was telling her she shouldn't waste food when she refused to eat all of her bfast. Then later when he said he was going outside for a smoke break, Jamie asked why did he smoke when it was bad for you...then Rach said she learned in health class that smoking was bad for you....A said well, everyone does things that are bad for you, which is true. The expressions on the girls faces were priceless ;-) Later Jamie remarked to me that smoking would kill Aaron & I told her he was at the point in life where he felt if smoking hadn't killed him earlier

Thats cute.I guess once you are in your 70's and the smoking has not killed you yet you might as well enjoy it;-).Although Gab said they told her in DARE it you had a glass of wine at dinner you were in danger of becoming and alcoholic. My FIL gets into his speeches with Gabrielle about the evils of technology and computers.Plus once he starts he can't let it drop, even when you agree, just to shut him up.He also hates wasting food.

Usually they are cheaper than publisher price, but with my 20% educator discount at the big 3 (B&N, Books-A-Million, and Borders, which we just got this fall, all have the educator discount card), it usually falls hand in hand. Actually, Wal-mart offers a discount, too, that's where I usually get the newest Magic Treehouse book when it comes out (yes, *I* still buy them because *I* still read them).

I bought Beedle the Bard from Wal-mart for $8. Our bookstores are all in Baton Rouge. B&N is my choice, and we're supposed to be getting one nearby in the next, oh, 10 years (ugh...they've been talking about it for a few years now..I think 2010).

So, Wal-mart, if they have something, that's usually convenient since I go there at least once a week.

I'm not doing class orders of Scholastic this year, so my bonus points are about to run out...I probably have about $7 worth of free books left on bonus points. I get like 1 point for every $ spent, sometimes more if I have a bigger order, but if it's just me ordering, not so much. I haven't even been able to use my $10 in free books per month coupons since Sept because I haven't placed an order for over $20 (req to use the coupon) since then.
