Hey Brandi!

How is your mom doing?

How nice that you're visiting

Are you staying for Thanksgiving?

Michael and I had a blast this past weekend

You know my hubby---Dr Romantic ;)

The weekend was like the fastest weekend of my entire life though

dyk Kayleigh is a pretty good baker but not much of a cook yet

dyk I really need to work more on her kitchen skills, Ian's too pretty soon

dyk I think it's important for the kids to know how to cook

dyk At 12, I was cooking dinner

dyk I have to remember to bake my corn pudding in the morning :)

I would like a recipe for that corn pudding

Is it hard to make?

It sounds good though

Thank you.

The hormones are rough this year...rougher than last year's 7th graders. Very difficult to teach the current unit--reproduction.

I can't go younger than 5th, though...not my cup of tea. Won't go higher than 8th either, though.

DYK Morning Sofie!

DYK both my girls had some Spanish when they were in daycare & sign language since their ES is a hearing, speech/auditory school

DYK I was born here, I'm first generation as my parents came over from Taiwan/China....Mandarin is the "official" language altho Cantonese is also spoken (in Hong Kong esp but other areas also). There are local dialects too such as Shanghainese but the written language is the same for Mandarin/Cantonese. I still speak Chinese regularly w/my parents but not w/my DH or my brother who can understand but not speak anymore. Unfortunately I can't write the characters so when Rach needs help I get my parents to help her out...they have yet to visit Taiwan or China altho Rach is now getting a bit interested

DYK my ydd is named Jamie, she's in 4th gr....Rach has a best friend named Maria that has a fraternal twin named Vasilia -- as you might have guessed they're Greek ;-)
