DYK Thread for
October

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

what fun trying to seperate the two sets..... must be entertaining.

I always suggest something they do together and the two ditch that idea and go do something on their own. works every time.

I washed about four loads of laundry last night. (I cleaned jackies room)i have one load left. that is in the middle of the living room floor still. I have tons to fold and put away. One load in the washer right now and one in the dryer.....lol and i did it in between homework issues last night

Can't say that Gab is a terror at home, but I do know that she has more of an attitude with Dale and I than she does her friends parents.

She can be so funny though. She went to watch the 250 anniversary fireworks in Pittsburgh on Saturday with her friend. They ate at a restraunt called Parmanti bros. They basically have sand thay have fries and cole slaw on there in attion to the type of sand you get Such as ham and cheese or whatever.Any way Gab got a ham and chees and she came home telling me how good it was(she did not get the slaw on it)Anyway she was telling Dale and I what a pain her friend was being about eating there. We have one of these places a mile from our house and Gab has always refused to eat there, but the friend was a pain;-)

sounds like jackie and her bff.....lol they are funny. Her bff never gets to eat out that much. So where ever i take them its okay with bff. But Jackie is sooooo picky its sick. she complains about everything. So when i suggest that I take them out jackie tells me not here or there because bff is going to be mean and not want to eat there.....lol

DYK so do people just have their kids take off anyway, for example if its a religious holiday? Which Yom Kippur is (the equivalent of high holy day of Easter)

DYK but on the other hand you get out earlier too!

DYK that sounds like a lot of laundry for you guys....are u home today doing wash instead of working? Wait that's probably more work than the job

DYK I jokingly said to DH I was going to bed early tonite since I was doing so much work at home

DYK then my mom called...she is coming over to stay w/the girls on Sun since DH & I are going to an NFL football game

DYK next the sports performance trainer called to confirm an appt of 9am this Sat for Rachel; she's having her baseline assessment done

DYK yes its funny that they are different about foods "whatever" when they're out vs. eating at home. I find its gotten a little better as the girls get older even at home trying newer foods

if they think the kids need to stay home for religious reasons then yes they stay at home some of the absences are not excused though.
