DYK Thread for
October

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

dyk It stinks that her time at her dad's house is that way

dyk I think it must be really hard for kids to visit the non custodial parent if that parent doesn't embrace the lifestyle and activities of the kid

dyk While they may not have much time with the child, it's hard for kids to be away from friends, activities, etc

dyk Glad to hear that you enjoyed some good wine this weekend :)

I agree mindy. It must be difficult to have a life and live it one way and then on the other weekends. try to include your other child that is much older. But people do everyday and they enjoy spending time and being in both their childs lives. but when one wont allow those things or be included in those things it creates big huge havoc.... on lots of other peoples lives..... but we try to make the best of it.

dyk Carys sounds just adorable

dyk one of the gym teachers from one of our elementary school teaches a gymanstics class for the rec department

dyk Kayleigh took it when she was younger, like first grade

dyk My turkey is smelling good, it should be done cooking around 4:30

dyk We have to eat on the early side tonight because Dh has to be at a meeting at 7:00, lucky thing he has the day off

dyk I'm sure we'll have way too much food, since there's stuffing and Kayleigh begged for mashed potatoes, which Ian doesn't like

dyk not sure what veggies I'll make yet

dyk Thanks, I can't wait to dig in

dyk I hope Dh and Kayleigh get home from their errand soon because it's almost time to carve

dyk We have cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes, broccoli, glazed carrots and baby onions

dyk 14.70 pounds is a lot of turkey for 4 people

dyk The kids are welcome to invite friends, but they are afraid if they do that, the guests will want their drumsticks

dyk ONce dh suggested I could buy extra drumsticks at the store

dyk I reminded him that our goal was to have LESS turkey not more LOL\

DYK:

Gabby can not wait to see Em's homecoming dress.Gabby is very into homecoming dresses at the moment since she dances with mostly freshmen and they all went to their homecoming dances. She is already planning her first homecoming dance an dit is two years away. She thinks a sophmore will ask her since that is the only way freshmen can go in our school. As long as it is one of the year older guys that I know I guess it will be ok.Not that Gabby is even into boys yet.But she loves the idea of dressing up.

Post the pics soon.

I hope the right guy asks her. Jackie does not want to even go to the band dance in two weeks.....lol
