DYK Thread for
October

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

she does not have that much but her math usually every night takes about an hour and half. thats long. then she has to do a summary of her book she is reading that takes about an hour...... she takes her time... (waists it mostly) Other than that at least she does practice before i get home. I have tried the bribe it does not work most of the time. Im just at a loss. I think i just need to keep going and do what im doing. Hope and pray that it kicks in soon.

That is a lot of math homework. No wonder she has trouble getting it done.Math is the one subject that Gab tends to have homework in everynight.Gabby is home today and I had to pick her up yesterday becasue of a stomach virus. She was up and nsisting on going today, even though I knew her stomach was a little shakey.I finally tod her I would not come and get her if she got sick at school. She then agreed to stay home. She is just paniced about all teh work she will have to make up.I never remember having that much work to do.I think she was planning on going in talking to her teachers, getting the work then calling me and telling me she needed to come home. That was not going to happen. It was just easier having her stay home in the first place. She should be ok tom.It is crazy the amt of work they give these kids.

Thanks Luara, I know she will have a great time, she really enjoys cheering. Cheer can get nasty, the girls can really get mean to each other, but so far we've not had any problems. Alexis doesn't get herself involved in that kind of stuff, she tries her best to stay out of it.

Boys? Nope, no thank you. I think she thinks some are cute or nice, but she isn't going to go yakking about them on the phone with her friends. That is just what I am trying to keep her away from....some of the girls on the football cheer squad are just down right nasty in what they talk about, I mean truely disgusting stuff that adults shouldn't be talking about, let alone 12 year old girls.

Thanks Rasheita! I know "worldly" sound funny, but it was much more polite than some of the other words that were coming to mind.

DYK DS is having headaches now.

DYK the way he describes them sounds like they are migraines.

DYK ugh, that means I passed my wonderful trait on to two o fmy kids now.

DYK we all have been feeling a little icky--so I am wondering if maybe we have a virus going through the house.

DYK so hopefully that is the headaches--but I guess I will just have to keep a close eye on things.
