DYK Thread for
October

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

DYK DH is much better now that he's more mobile....he still is on meds but hasn't had any more reactions, thank goodness

DYK as far as the girls going to workouts together, we'll see if that's a good thing for them. I hope they don't argue w/each other during the sessions & ruin it for the other kids there

DYK well 6th graders here aren't even allowed on the sports teams but drama, chess, writing & other clubs as well as intramural sports yes. I think the idea behind that is the 6th gr are busy adjusting to having 7 classes a day which is a big change from ES.

DYK no offense taken Sandy! But yes, I was in a way glad to hear that her friends aren't in science since she likes to socialize so much more this yr....but my feelings were more like, since you dislike science that is one class you need to pay extra attention in so not having friends in there removes the distractions LOL

DYK and yes, she must be a relatively young as well as new teacher...DH & I met her at BTS night & she had told us she called some parents about chattering in class (which DH & I found interesting...not something we would do since kids at this age always talk). She had a bell which she rang during class which was suppose to signal to the kids to stop talking....DH said that it wouldn't be long before that disappeared & sure enough Rach came home a few days later to say it'd been stolen ;-)

I think your right. Our sixth grades are about the same. Thats why they are not allowed to join the sports teams right away. which for me thats okay. I just want to figure a way to help her become more involved in something at school.
