DYK Thread for
October

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

I figure the child will grow out of it once she is ready. Im not in to big of a hurry. Im glad she is who she is. It makes me feel better as a mom.

I was told once that if you did not wonder at least once a week. You a mother who needs help. Now I dont put that much into sayings like that. however I have to agree. I care so much about my dd that Im a little over protective and now its starting to hurt her in some ways about growing up. I do need to let go of some things and let her fall on her own. So she can figure some ways out of her sticky messes. but I think im a pretty good mom overall.

DYK I hear ya D since I'm a big worrier.....DH is much better at letting go than I am probably because his parents were more like that. My parents were more protective but I can't tell how much of that was because I was a girl lol.

Yes I know. and i do choose my battles. Its not worth having a child that is upset all the time. Its bad for her self esteem. so i try not to yell all day.

yes i know the book well. its better than being brought up by an engineer and a strict catholic mother like my friend. Oh my thats bad and not having kids of your own. It must be hard to hold your tongue. but my friend is learning to do so. LOL

Flashlight tag was outside!

They played a LOT of Mario Kart!! We had four wheels, so only one kid sat out at a time.
