DYK Thread for
September

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

Does that mean the school will be closed longer because of the mold?If the Governor declares a state of emergency will you still have to make up the days missed?

They tested the mold before and claim that it's non-toxic.

DYK I was thinking the same thing....if its a state emergency does the school system get an exemption for days missed?

DYK and mold is something I'd want fixed before anyone goes back into a building even if its "tested as non-toxic"....I'd think the state would fix due to liability issues too before anyone sets foot in there

DYK -

We have to petition the DOE in order to have anything waived from the school year.

they did for Katrina/Rita, so I'm guessing they will for us, too.

We've already had classes in the rooms with mold this school year.
