DYK Thread for
September

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

the bad thing about Alavert is it's expensive (well, they might all be..that's the only one I buy often...I buy Claritin less often)--it's cheaper if you buy the bigger packs, but if it's not going to work, you've wasted your money.

Oh, and they often have $2 and $4 coupons in the Sunday paper.

dyk LOL about your Dh, mine is the same way

dyk He looked very perplexed when Kayleigh said something about being in 8th grade and he asked me (seriously) if that was a mistake

dyk when I pointed out that next year we'll have one in high school and one in middle school, he had a look of sheer panic hahahahaha

dyk I can see where you'd want to consider where the best athletic program is for Rachel especially if she does have an interest in college sports

dyk has she any idea at this point where she would want to go to college or what she wants to study?

dyk tornado warnings are a steep price to pay for cooler weather, the heat sounds like a better option

dyk When is Ike expected to visit your area and how close are to you where he's predicted to come?

dyk Here in NY, we don't see much of the tropical storms, although on Saturday night we did have heavy rains and winds but not anything compared to what everyone down south experienced

dyk Although it still was dangerous - a friend of mine was out walking her dog in the storm and had a bad accident - a tree limb came down on her and injured her badly but luckily she is out of critical care now and expected to make a full recovery

DYK:

We are in Pa and there are times when we will get a lot of rain form hurricanes and tropical storms.During Ivan we had 6 inches of water in our basement becasue the rain was coming down so fast and so hard.A lot of people lost their hmes and tons of roads were closed all over the area.We mainly get the flooding, rarely any of the high winds.
