Assumption parish still has 99% of its residents without power. They probably won't have power for another month. The bayou water is black (dead water due to lack of oxygen) and is backing up into people's homes--even the sheriff has it in his toilet.

This is where I have family on my side & Mike's side...and lots of friends, too.

and other areas still don't have power--even in my own city.

The carbon monoxide levels are at a dangerous high due to the generators.

it's really like driving in a war zone around here--there are military people everywhere.

it's very confusing for our school because the book orders SAY to write it to Scholastic.

I think making the checks out to the book company is easier for all involved.Are yu still back to school.I am assuming you do not have to worry about IKe.That is horrible you still have people without power.Funny how we hear nothing about the damage from gusetve up here in Pa.There seems to have been a lot and in a pretty wide area.
