DYK Thread for
September

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

Dh is home and is bummed b/c now he has to work on the outside...LOL ;-)

We barely even have a breeze going on right now.....clear skies......so...yea, nothing going on here.....

We are watching the weather channel, which has a local Houston channel on and we are watching what happened in Houston.....and I am waiting for a phone call from one friend in Houston and maybe, hopefully, Deanna will call also....if they have cell phones or land lines work.....they did say for at&t customers to text rather than use voice calls......

power never went off (slept with my lamp on--which really would've just been torture--if they had gone out, they might've been up before I woke up).

And the map shows that it's away from us now. Still windy outside. I guess that second map I saw (it was on CNN), wasn't very accurate because they're showing that same map--just runs longer now--right now. CNN is just what Mike has it on, not necessarily watching anything. I would have it on Weather.

So, anyway, it was probably just that one (yellow) band with the tornado-producing conditions, that probably passed through sometime early morning.
