In my newspaper today, I read an article about a survey conducted by Parenting Magazine and AOL.

Once upon a time, I would have said "absolutely yes!"

Nope, not me. I'm 44, and look the same as I did prepregnancy (ds is 11); it took a while to get here, but I'm still working out (mostly just resistance), if for no other reason than to keep bone density up. But then that's just me.

No way! Besides the risk of any surgery, the risk I wouldn't like the outcome,

It is very tempting. Unfortunately I am such a chicken that I am too afraid to go ahead. Since I have spent 11 years trying to avoid looking in a mirror, not wearing skirts, not going to the beach etc., it really is something I have thought about a lot. But in the end I am too chicken to get it fixed, and in the meantime I have come to terms with not being able to do the things I used to. It was really hard in the beginning, though. Ceasing to be attractive at 29 was not something I had imagined or prepared for.
