Hi,

My daughter was going to have a Winter Holiday party on the last week of school she was going to hand out the invitations this week.

I would try and find an alterntive date. By handing out invitation for the exact same day and time you are going to put alot of girls in a position of having to choose and someone's feelings are going to get hurt either way. Is there no way you could have a NYE party or another day during the holdays? Because there is no school you could have it on a weekday maybe rather than a traditional weekend. But if that's not possible I would cancel for now and tell them you're going to have a Valentine's party or St. Patrick's or something instead later in the winter. Maybe a luau in mid-Feb. to beat the blahs.

I agree with everyone else change the date or even the time to a later time if that is possible. Another suggestion, If this other girl was suppose to be invited why not get a hold of her mother and suggest a together party. Hopefully everyone gets along... and celebrate it with each other at another place or coordinate it with the other mother. I knew a friend who did this..and it actually worked out great. In fact more of the girls got along after the party than before. Maybe it will spark some new friendships. Its hard but it is the Christmas season and what more fun than to make it a big blast. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
