My 11yo DD wants this mag for Xmas. Anyone know if it's suitable for this age & for girls in particular? thanks!

I just asked my DD who is an expert on all things teeny magazines. She said that it is more about bands and less about actors. Whereas the magazine J-14 is better. They are all pretty much the same she said, Bop, M, Quizz Fest (all quizzes) but she thinks that J-14 has better articles and more posters where as the others are kind of mediocre and are made by the same company. My child, the font of knowledge. LOL
We have a subscription to J-14 and Ms. Gossip-addict me reads it as well and it is pretty benign and most of the info is really old. Its not People magazine but it is geared toward the tween/early teen set.
So I would recommend J-14 but if she has her heart set on that one, there is nothing objectionable in it.
Depending on who she wants to read about, I would recommend J-14 too.
I have been buying In Touch magazine lately. It's actually pretty tame and you get weekly gossip, but it is geared toward "older" celebrities. I let my 12 yo read it--there is hardly any "sex" talk like SEventeen magazine and other "fashion" mags.
J-14 is all about the HS Musical cast and the "Suite life of Zack and Cody" boys.
Same with Tiger Beat.

Hannah was getting teen people but they discontinued it. Your right about Girls life it is about fashion. Maybe that's why I like it. LOL
I'll have to get her a subscription of j'14. Do I just type in J-13 under Google?

Maybe if she gets this J-14 - then she can be a new trendsetter!!!! LOL!!!
(Yes - she LOVES the HS Musical Cast!)
