Setting alarm and getting out of bed? Gabby usually sets her alarm and gets up on her own.Mainly becaus eat this time she is getting up at 5:45 to leave at 7:20.
Picking out school clothes? Gabby usually picks out her school clothes the night befoore, some ams she will change her mind.
Monitoring shower times? She showers the night before then she will straighten her hair with the flat iron in the mornings.
Making breakfast? If she wants something for bkfst,I will make it for her.
Packing lunches? I usually pack her lunch.
Reminders for the details of teeth, hair, shoes, backpack. She takes care of all the details.I do put her lunch in the backpack, but only because I pack the lunch.
~they all set their own alarms but with the exception of Isaiah I still have to make sure they are all up and at em.
Picking out school clothes?
~ they all pick their own clothes out. I reserve the right to overrule but most times I don't have to. Except in the winter when Isaiah refuses a coat...
Monitoring shower times?
~The boys are pretty good about it. I still have to set the timer for Jasmin because she will stay in for an hour if I let her. LOL
Making breakfast?
~they make their own breakfast for the most part but I am downstairs helping push them out the door so it's a group effort. LOL
Packing lunches?
~when they pack a lunch, I make sure its balanced (not too many treats) but they pack it themselves.
Reminders for the details of teeth, hair, shoes, backpack
~ME! The older they get the less reminders they need though. I do some stuff out of habit (asking are you lotioned up? do you have your Burt's bees? etc) their backpacks go by the front door as soon as homework is complete so backpacks aren't an issue in the morning.
my kids take their showers at night too, but for some reason (I am not complaining as there was a time that I had to dang near bathe him myself to make sure he had one) Isaiah MUST have a shower in the morning too.
Setting alarm and getting out of bed? She is famous for sleeping through her alarm, I am always home in the morning so I just call her and make sure she's awake before I leave. I leave at 7:50 and her bus doesn't come until 8:45 so she's got lots of time.
Picking out school clothes? She does
Monitoring shower times? She showers at night so its not an issue
Making breakfast? She doesn't eat breakfast but if she wanted something she'd have to get it herself since I am gone shortly before/after she gets up. Sometimes if she's up early, very rare, I'll offer her something if I'm making it but not usually.
Packing lunches? I do, I'm making mine in the morning so I just do both.
Reminders for the details of teeth, hair, shoes, backpack? I usually make sure her stuff is sitting at the door when I leave but the rest of the stuff is up to her as she's getting up and ready on her own.
* Setting alarm and getting out of bed? Kurt sets his alarm and he has to get me out of bed. I set mine, but i always turn it off while still asleep, apparently.
* Picking out school clothes? He picks out his own. All his clothes are pretty interchangeable. I have more issues with my 3 year old, who wants to wear princess dresses every day.
* Monitoring shower times? he showers at night.
* Making breakfast? Kurt usually makes his own. Sometimes I set stuff out the night before.
* Packing lunches? He packs his own lunch, but i make it. He either takes pasta that I make on Sunday or chicken breasts that I have cooked the night before. I also make bags of fruits/veggies on Sundays. Kurt puts it all in his lunch box in the mornings though.
* Reminders for the details of teeth, hair, shoes, backpack? he deals with all that himself. I'm the scatterbrained one. usually he has to find my keys for me too. Every year I vow to change and be more organized...
