GADGETS GADGETS GADGETS GADGETS GADGETS GADGETS
We live in a society where our kids think they need to have all the latest and greatest electronics and gadgets--and let's face it, they are pretty cool!
So what new "gadgets" or electronics are your 10-14 year olds asking for this holiday season and what are your thoughts on them needing all the latest and greatest gadgets.

I'm actually getting off really lucky this year!
Actually Connor,14, isn't asking for or getting any gadgets.
DS asked for nothing but gadgets for his 12th bday, which was a couple of weeks ago...
He wanted an iTouch. I said no way because I think he does not need any more access to the internet than he already has (he has his own laptop that he bought with his own money, but IM privileges have been suspended)...
He wanted a cell phone. Our policy on that has always been, when WE need you to have a cell phone, you will get a cell phone. So, not this year.
He wanted a PS3 or an XBox 360. We already have GameCube and Wii, so don't see the need for another system. So we nixed that, too.
He did get Guitar Hero III and a cheapo video camera, which he is thrilled with.
Now, for Christmas he is asking for a Nano. I think we will get him that. To me, that is more reasonable than an iTouch for a 12-year-old!
Kayleigh wants an IPOD for Christmas and I asked Dh to get her one. She doesn't have tons of electronics.

Hannah wants a keyboard, which she will probably get.
Nathan wants games for Wii.
Alright - since you asked :)
Alex wants a cell phone, wii and nano ipod - She'll get NONE of them!
I've already told her that she will not get a cell until she is at least 14 - I don't care who else has one or how responsible she is in my opinion it is just plain silly for her to have one.
