Well I will be disappointed if my candidate doesn't win. But I won't be going to the streets and rioting or anything.
I will be upset and disappointed, but I think I will also be so relieved to no longer be bombarded by negative campaign ads and constant coverage and all the tension in the air, that I will ultimately be okay if my candidate does not win. I've been through it before, twice in the past 8 years, and survived. ;-) I'm by far too obsessed with this election, and am giving myself an ulcer over it all.
In the end I just want to see us all come together. So tired of the "us" vs. "them," "red state" vs. "blue state" mentality. I hope when this is all over, whatever the outcome, we can all pull together and remember that we are all Americans and we need each other.
I totally agree with everything you said!
I am so sick of the negativity--here on the Mississippi Coast, one can watch ads from
I'll be glad when its over because my dd thinks the end of the US is going to come if the wrong person gets in. I explained to her that we the people put in blocks into our constitution so that any one person could never do that. No matter who gets in the US will still be the US.
I heard some disturbing things on the news today & I just wish the candidates were honest w/we the people. Its a tough race because from what I can see its a question of who is lying the most. I don't care for either one of them. I will vote tomorrow & our health care is also at stake here in our state. we get reduced health care thru the state for small businessess & it may be voted out tomorrow which leaves us w/no health care because no one will insure dd.

Either way, I will pretty much just hope for the best.

Well said, that's exactly how I feel!
I will be VERY glad when this is over.
I live in VA, which everyone knows is a "battleground" state.
I'm with the others, I am mostly just beyond ready for this to be over. Even our local politicians have gotten nasty this year, it's just too much.
I support a third party (libertarian), so there really is no candidate that I feel passionate about. I am more voting against policy that concerns me than I am voting for anyone this year. HOnestly that's been true for the past many years.
I worry about race relations after the election, I hope people can remain respectful. I worry about our economy hugely, and how things will fall out whoever is elected, honestly I can't imagine even wanting that job!
Shrug. I can't say I have a lot of emotion invested simply because I am a true cynic when it comes to politics, I honestly don't believe or trust any of them! It makes it easy to not be passionate in some ways, because I won't be devastated by the results like so many out there are saying they will be. Luckily I am also a die hard optimist and will firmly keep my rose colored glasses on and pray for the best for the future of our children.
