Our only issue really these days is that my daughter is glued to me and when we go to my friends homes or out to the pool etc with them she always wants to hang out with my mom friends and be part of our conversations. Since most of my friends have much younger children she doesn't have anyone to hang out with and usually gets stuck taking care of them, like the 18 month old and 3 yr old, chasing them around, which she enjoys, but naturally after awhile she gets tired of it.

I'm guessing this is normal, but it drives me batty that she follows me around all day and listens to my voncerstations on the phone and with my husband. I know someday I will be chasing her to spend time with her so I should enjoy it! :-)

Even tho school is out DH & I are still working & need to get into the office at a decent hour ;-) so there isn't much sleeping in. Rach is starting to get the teen biorhythm & sleeping in while staying up late. Doesn't work this wk when doing sports camp (they are outside most of the day where its hot) -- IYAH, the whole attitude & crankiness is unbearable. Of course her lil sis does the same so its 2x the crankiness & talking back . And Rach is so freakin' slow moving!!! It drives me nuts....can't move fast to save their life; the more time you give them (i.e. I try to wake them up earlier to account for this) the slooower Rach seems to mosey along. I've told her a 90 yo woman can come downstairs & get in the car faster; even DH has remarked on the slowness & he is a perpetually late person too.

That's the hard part, as Connor's friends aren't around in the summer to do anything with. He thought he'd like a nice relaxing summer after a booked school year schedule, but now he's finding that his open schedule is not as much fun as he thought. 5 more weeks of this until football starts and counting.

Our biggest issue is a general frustration with her talents. Dd#1 is 12yo going into 7th grade and is a good student, mostly "A"s with "B"s and "C"s in math, she wishes she was a straight "A" student. She plays the trumpet, but isn't in the running for first chair. She sings in the church choir but isn't a usual soloist. Ran on the track team but wasn't a top runner. Made it into a selective drama camp but didn't get a "desired" role in the production. The goes on. She is so generally talanted but isn't a superstar in any one particular area and it frustrates her.

Hannah is the same way with her bathroom. I think it's because her mom is such a nit nick. I mean, why should it bother us? It's not our bathroom.

Sounds like we all have the same gripes:
Bordom
laziness
back talking

My gripe today is how can they make their own money. I am on the verge of losing it. I work so hard and they want everything. I feel I am always saying no. Then I go and buy all three of them video games, and I get mad because all my money is gone. I wish they could all find jobs.
