its kind of funny how some books might be the same but get finished different times. i know Jackie does that alot. I think it has to do with how much time she has. But at least they read. thats all I can ask for.
My oldest DS prefers to be read to so he can get more of the story and not struggle with comprehending what he is reading. We just finished Hatchet with him. My oldest DD loves to read on her own. She doesn't care what she is reading (a book to the newspaper), as long as she is reading to us. Both of my younger ones love being read to, especially when I do lots of sound effects. :o)

Thank you to cl-tanya08 on Sig Showcase for my siggy. :o)
thats neat. My dd gets into the strangest books. She read the hobbit last year since her teacher started it. Long story my dd ended up finishing it because she was so "into" the book. I am happy she reads. It takes me a while to read anything so i try. But she loves it.
i don't have children but i am a teacher assistant for kids between the ages of 10 and 12. i help them with their reading (sounding out words) and try to build their confidence.
on the subject of dr. seuss, i never read his books growing up.
