Just cut the jeans off. Unless they have an embroidery at the hem. My DD is about 3 inches too short for the jeans that fit her but I simply cut them off and hem them up the exact same way with matching color thread. You would have no clue that they are not the original hem. It is the same width, folded over twice and same thread. So don't let the length set you off. Most drycleaners also have people who will cut them off if you don't sew. Its more expensive but less stressful and searching endlessly for the perfect pair.

I thought they were made up too until she found them on-line. LOL I don't want to buy them on-line because who knows how they fit and the shipping back and forth is expensive. They are designed (approved?) by the singer Nelly I think. At least he's on the site. I'm not thrilled with some of those messages they sing about but looking at the jeans they are just normal jeans but some have back pockets that look like apples. They aren't overly tight or low-rise so as long as they look okay I'll be okay with it.

Thanks. I hope we can get some for not too expensive. If we could get a deal she could get two pair rather than one. And my next question "Jeans have a season?" LOL I'm so out of it on the fashion scene. I've never heard of red monkey. We'll have to check for those.

I went looking for applebottom jeans when I heard that song because I was curious if they were a brand or something he was saying to describe her bottom. LOL

Gabby is 12 and she can actually still wear a size 12 in the girls dept. However, she now hates store like Limited 2 and Justice,so I do buy her jr clothing.Thankfully we have a Delia's and she can wear their jeans in a 00,and they have a petie length whichh fits her great. They also have tees in xs.Plus since jrs like their tees tight some of them are actually smaller than the girls tees on her.She does have an Abercombrie hoodie. She also has a pair of jeans, which we got on sale and she really does not like them. She loves how her Delia's skinny jeans fit her.I would not have a problem if she wanted to hilight her hair.I also let her get the occassional mancure.Gabby is into fashion, but not so much brand name as long as it looks good and I don't buy it in the little girls dept. Her friend seem to be the same way, most of them can still shop in the girls dept, but they all seem to wear the 00 jeans and xs tees.

When my girl was a tween I did not buy designer clothes for her. If she wanted an expensive name item she knew she had to use her own $ for it (birthday or Christmas $) or saving up her allowance.

This is the first year Jordyn has really paid any attention to what she wore or even if she combed her hair in the morning.

I don't Know if Red monkey is a girl's brand actually, i was just trying to think of brands she bought down in New York. i think it's a boy's brand like ganster pants that fall off your butt.
