We are talking about your budget. How could you cut corners to save money?
Eating at home more? taking your lunch to work? What about cutting out some entertainment? Or how about cutting your wants verses need?
Take a little quiz and find out:

Have you thought about making a budget?
Do you think it would help?
Do you know where all your money goes?
Is there any place that you could save or cut back?
Do you spend too much money on things that you dont need?
Have you spent too much money on wants?
Take out a piece of paper and write down your bills. Estimate if you must. now look at the numbers. Whats too high? Is there any way that you can cut that back just a little?

I am assuming we are answering the questions here, if not feel free to correct me. :-)
How could you cut corners to save money?
i wanted to share a thought and get some people to think. I hope it helps.
I think in these economic times especially it always helps to get people thinking about their budgets and what things they maybe can cut back on and how to save here and there.
I have to admit I am a bit of a control freak about our budget, too many years of being a single parent living paycheck to paycheck I think.
Eating at home more? === More like eating out less! We never really ate out much but we've cut back drastically.
taking your lunch to work? === don't work so N/A
What about cutting out some entertainment? === our only entertainment is buying DVDs and we haven't cut that back much as ofyet.
Or how about cutting your wants verses need? === done that drastically
On the quiz - I should have done better because of all teh travel we have done in past, but then, we weren't really watching $$$ then:
4 out of 12 Right (33%)
"Not bad. Hopefully our quiz has shown you how to save money on your next trip."
Have you thought about making a budget? === thought about it but freaked out about it.
Do you think it would help? === I have never detailed spending to that degree.
Do you know where all your money goes? === yes, sadly
Is there any place that you could save or cut back? === we have cut back and I'm sure we could cut back more, but while the cutbacks so far are unpleasant, any more would be painful.
Do you spend too much money on things that you don't need? === yes, but not as much as last September
Have you spent too much money on wants? === again, yes, but not nearly as much as last September

In these economically challenged times, do you think we need a Repair Manifesto?
No doubt we spend too much money on things we shouldn't ::blush::
Think it's hard to cut back on things we are use to, kwim ?
We have stopped eating out as much so that helps.
As does our menu planning.
Wants vs. Needs .. we are still working on that one :)
I got two questions wrong on the quiz, the credit vs debit card, and the grace period for returning your rental car.
Eating at home more? That would be difficult as we rarely go out to eat, we can go months without being at a restaurant for dinner.
