I'm a little confused, but I guess I would need more information to completely understand what you're asking.

If you don't do them mail order, you're only getting a 30-day supply, correct? Then, the meds are costing your just over $30 a month total? Is that higher than you're used to paying?

A 30 day supply is 6 bucks, a 90 supply is 12 bucks.

Okay--that IS a big jump!!! What did she mean about $25? Have they gone up from $12 to $25 as your co-pay now?

The way mine works is I pay half-price on meds with a cap of $50. Mike is on Prevacid, and a 30-pill supply was over $130, but we only paid $50. Now, he's on a 60-pill supply per month and I'd hate to see the bill for that!!!, but we still only pay $50. Then, once we pay $1200, generics are free and name brands are $15, with our year ending in July, so in the past, May was pretty cheap and June was super cheap. But we didn't reach that max this year.

Good Morning. We have the Caremark prescription plan and you are right, the mail-order way is so much cheaper! I went to pick up my dd's meds in our local pharmacy and it was 9.00 for a month's supply. I called Caremark and it's 6.00 for a 90 day supply for the same exact med! I don't know how they do it but I'm sure glad they do. My dh also gets all of his diabetic supplies via Caremark. You just have to keep in mind that with the processing and shipping, you need to give yourself ample time (for Caremark it's 10 days maximum) to receive your meds. Hope this helps. Clairey

My insurance requires that we use mail order on long term use meds. two of my kids have meds that we have to use everyday and we use mail order. It is cheaper and its convenient.
