Dd just finished MILES TO GO - the new book by Miley Cyrus --
She really enjoyed it & read it in like 3 days --

She doesn't read much - so I really want her to read what she likes.

What other engaging books are your dds - about this age - reading?

Obviously there is Twilight ---- but I'm thinking she may like some more REALITY type books, etc. Suggestions? thx.

I'll ask Daisy for her suggestion when she wakes up.

That book is really really sad.The abuse the author experienced was horrific. It was hard to get through.

That is why I didn't read it, but I have had several students who said it was a really good book.

By "reality" do you mean nonfiction or realistic fiction?

By reality - yes, I'd say non-fiction book types----

She loved MILES TO GO - by Miley Cyrus -her "autobiography" haha....however, it did address a bit of bullying she went thru.

I've wondered if she might like the new DUGGAR FAMILY book -
or the JON & KATE book.....

Yeah - I'm familiar with that A BOY CALLED IT book --- I've seen the guy on Oprah. I've never read it b/c I think it'd be terribly depressing - but I guess would be interesting. Maybe I should have her read it for those times she gets cocky!

Here's a list of several good non-fiction books for young adults

I've read it, someone mailed it to me & the sequel. Its not that long of a book actually. I found it uplifting since it turned out well for the author at the end. Also there was a similar case of child abuse in our county at the time.
