I have a candle lit in the house and said a prayer with my dd for all those affected.

I grew up in NYC, took the train to WTC daily and worked across the street. All of the firefighters from the firehouse in my (mom's) neighborhood lost their lives. My first date with my husband was at the top of the WTC in Windows of the World Restaurant. My best friend previously worked in Cantor Fitzgerald, the company directly hit, a place I met her for lunch and met those people...she was not working there at the time. Another friend I spent the summer with had just come home from Greece, her 1st day back to work and she was late, she watched the planes hit from the Ferry. She still has some problems today. It was a miracle I didn't know anyone personally that lost their lives, but I knew plenty through other people.

I still tear up when I see any type of emails, news coverage or drive by there when I visit home. To see that huge hole there now where the WTC once was gives me such a pit in my stomach that I could never describe. My heart goes out to all of my fellow New Yorkers and my fellow Americans for this tragic tragic day and lets not forget those in PA and Washington as well!

Light a candle in your home and say a prayer for the families that lost a loved one and for those still struggling to get passed that tragic day.

Hugs,
Maz
