she was bullied into kissing

My 11 year old daughter was at a bday party and the "host" told her and a boy she likes that the party was going to end if they didn't kiss. My daughter did it! Ok, so I need to calm down and realize it was something "in the moment", and how many 11 year olds have the maturity to realize that if they say "no", the party will still somehow go on. Anyway, daughter regrets the decision and action, and she was a willing participant after all !! The "host" is my daughter's best friend (I've been trying to get this friendship to die a natural death) who is a bully, and does not do the nicest things. Been talking with my daughter about the whole friendship issue and perhaps it being time to back off with this friend because overall she just isn't a friend. The friend knows no boundaries, has no parental supervision, is yelling one moment and crying the next. Please help with how to help the friendship take a permanent vacation. My daughter says she feels like a weakling because she can't stand up to this girl, but there is also something about having a "best friend" that my daughter is attracted to. Also, being the control freak that the friend is, she makes my daughter's neighborhood, bus, school, and church life a living hell when my daughter doesn't fall in line with the friend's way of doing things.

These kids are too young for all this stuff, and I'm fuming.

(I posted this same response to your post on the Pre-Teen board)

YIKES, not a healthy friendship.
