First one is inspired by the bonus Thursday question. I HATE getting up in the dark. Why why why did we change DLST to conserve energy if we just have to turn the lights on in the morning instead of at night? What is the freaking point? I would much rather have daylight to wake up, it gets me out of bed much easier in the morning and I can put up shades to keep the sun out if I want to sleep in.
I can not believe some of the people on facebook as well. Who cares what who looks like doing what and where. What a mess that would be if we only had to deal with issues that shallow. wow. your right christi this does feel good.
Why does my boss have to be so shallow and anal all the time. he wants people to be happy. Well he needs to be happy himself. And if he would follow his own rules maybe someone can get something down around here. Its not as if he is the only person around. Thats why he hires others to help.
<I enjoy it, but some of those people drive me crazy. Complaining because classmates that you didn't talk to 20 years ago aren't adding you as a friend now and then calling them childish and highschool-ish is totally being that yourself. If they don't want to add you, who the freak cares? You just want to see their pictures and add another number to your friends anyway, you don't care to keep in contact with them really. If you did, you would already be in contact with them. Ugh! Grow up already. >>
I have to LOL at this! When I first joined Facebook, I went through the friend finder and clicked on a whole bunch of people who graduated the same year as me.
I have to agree with this. I have not added everyone who's requested me from high school, although I may in the future, but my BFF from back then got some slack from someone that I refused to add them. What?? Like it's her fault? And then, there's one friend of mine from HS who is on my Friends' List who is now really heavy, poor thing. At our reunion she told us she had a thyroid problem. Well, in HS she was really popular and pretty and skinny (cheerleader) and there have been petty emails going around in our Inboxes saying stuff like: "OMG, what happened to Heather?!" Umm, excuse me, but first off---it's no one's business unless she makes it so, and secondly, find me one freaking person from our HS class who is physically flawless!
I'm astounded and I want to say something in the email thread, but I don't want to tick everyone off either, and it probably wouldn't do any good, but just spread more negativity. Yet I can't believe we are 38-40 years old and worrying about someone else's waistline! I honestly think they get some kind of satisfaction out of the fact that she used to be one of the prettiest and most popular girls in the class and is now heavy. And how sad is that??
I'm with you on the having to get up in the dark. GRRR!! And now that DST starts a month earlier, it's over a month before we'll get to where I don't get up and drive while it's still dark.
In fact, I was just going to mention this in the DYK thread. When I left school this afternoon, I started looking around while I was driving. There were huge branches & building parts all over the place--we had really bad weather all night. Since I go to school in the dark, I didn't see any of this. It is a DARN good thing none of the debris was in the road because I didn't see it!!
It's too dangerous to have kids, middle school kids (as young as 5th grade) out on buses & in cars & WALKING while it is still dark. Sunrise is just minutes before school starts. We need to go back to changing in April or we need to cut it out altogether.
The evening hours don't bother me either way because I'm always home before dark no matter what time of year, and when I get home on school nights, I'm home...that's it.
Now another soap box vent--Student attendance. It is ridiculous how many students stay home with parents' permission--not just cutting school. They stay home for their birthday, for crying out loud!!!!!
Sunrise is about 7:10 right now, school starts at 7:24. Kids start arriving on school grounds at 6:50 (4 buses are already there at that time) and it's still dark.
I am in the school by about 6:45 (or earlier when we manage to get out of the door when I plan to), so I enter the school in the dark. My entire drive is in the dark. It should be better in about 3 weeks, but that'll be after Easter now.
If DST were still beginning of April, it would only affect me for about 2 weeks, but since it's beginning of March, it affects me for about 6 weeks.

First of all I LOVE DST!
