David woke me up at 2am because he was having severe abdominal pain. I took him to the ER and 3 hours later they confirmed that he had a kidney stone. It's a small one and has already passed to his bladder. He doesn't have anymore forming, so that's good. He of course if off to bed asleep and I'm wide awake. I think this is going to be a long day.

Ouch. That sounds painful. Glad he is okay. Hope you get the chance for a nap or something today.

Oh, ick, those are supposed to be really painful, hope his makes its way out soon! My sister gets them chronically and has recently begun a program of lemon juice regularly, there is research to support that it helps prevent them. If you google it you might get more info....if your dh is prone to them it might be worth looking into.

Hope he's on the mend soon, and you all catch up on your sleep.

Painful! Glad he pasted it.The day my mom had her breast surgery, over half the people in the waiting room were waiting for family members to have their kidney stones "zapped"with some type of machine that travels from hospital to hospital.MIL gets them alot/Hope David is feeling better today and that you get some rest.

I'm glad he is feeling well enough to rest, and there are no more forming!

Did they tell him if/when to expect this one to pass?

I'm so glad it's passed on it's own. Sorry that today's not going to be the best of days. Relax if you can.
