Teachers and gift giving...

Once your kids hit ms/jr. high and had multiple teachers did you give ALL their teachers gifts? Evan has 6 teachers. Even if I get each of them a $10 gift card, that's $60. Last year we gave all his teachers hand-made white chocolate lollipops with colored/flavored decorations but I'm sure teachers get a TON of that kind of stuff and it seems so unoriginal. Evan has been quite a challenge in school this year so I feel like we really should do something...
Ideas? Do we need to give gifts?

My two kids have 14 teachers between them, so buying for each one would break the bank! I usually ask them if they have favorites they want to remember, then bake mini loaves of bread for them. My son has had a hideous time in school this year, and his English teacher has been especially kind to him, so I may do something really nice for her, like get a box of See's chocolates.
I usually buy the bus drivers Dunkin Donuts gift cards because I want them to load up on that coffee and stay alert when they drive my kids!
One of my friends sticks cloves into oranges (an old fashioned, but delicious smelling gift) and gives them to all her kids' teachers. They really like these pomanders because no one does things like this anymore.
