I am thankful I will only have to deal with this cheer coach for one more year.

I am thankful I have plenty of vacation days banked so I can take some time off without the kids or doctor's appointments or anything next week and have a few mental health days to do whatever I want to do!!

Today I'm thankful for the trip to England I'm taking this summer, courtesy of my parents. I love my family but I really think we all need a break from each other.

I'm also thankful for modern conveniences. They make my life and schedule feasible, not to mention help me maintain my sanity... :)

That sounds awesome Ami! Jordyn and I have decided since we really can't do a 2 week Europe trip after she graduates that we'll do a week or 5 day trip to Quebec City instead. I hope you have a wonderful time when you go!

I'm starting to get really excited about it. They gave me just about everything I'll need for Christmas and they're footing the bill. Dad and I are going to run around England while Evan is at a program for high school students at Oxford. Dad even signed me up for a one week course at Oxford to. I'm taking a class on Dickens. It's going to be exciting but I still can't believe they are doing something like this for me. They always seem so busy doing things for my brother, his kids, and my kids. Need to get my passport renewed soon too. Have to come up with the $ first...

Quebec City is GREAT! At least it was when I was there in college. Don't worry about the French language too much. You might get some attitude about it but they'll speak English.

I've been there twice in high school, that was why I was so excited about wanting to take Jordyn. We had always planned when living in Michigan for her to take french and going over. We used to go over to London every year when she was little and then I wanted to start branching out once she got a bit older, but then we moved here to Texas. I was surprised when she brought up the idea when I said we wouldn't be able to do England. and then I mentioned it to my middle brother and he said he wanted to go with us, he was never able to make it over to Quebec while he was in french in school, so it sounds like it may end up being the 3 of us doing the trip after graduation next year. But like you, we all need to get passports, I still haven't gotten one, and I think we'll just wait til Jordyn is 18 so I don't have to deal with doing the paperwork and stuff for me being the primary custodial parent and everything.

That sounds like so much fun, Jordyn would love a class on Dickens! I had a pen pal growing up in England, that was why I always figured we'd go there for a vacation. She got engaged last year and is living in China now, her fiance is from Beijing and she's teaching English to Chinese people.

I'm thankful for the coverage time I've been getting. The extra in my paycheck really helps a lot
