Good morning and BBBBRRRR.

Another frigid day here but that comes with crystal blue skies and clear air. Its -11F here this morning. Then its going to be 50F on Monday and rain. Go figure.
Kristen and I are off to Mamma Mia this afternoon. I have to hound her to work on her history project this morning because she's off to her Dad's early afternoon tomorrow and won't be home till later on Saturday and if she wants to do anything fun on her last day of vacation she's got to get it finished. Finish up the laundry is my task for the day.
Maybe today since i got some rest and got to watch a movie, I will start to want to clean up. At least my kitchen is clean. It has been clean for weeks though so thats not really an accomplishment. Take care and have a great day. Send those vibes to help me start moving......LOL

I'm here at work....back to usual routine now that most of my coworkers are back in....nothing unusual going on. Cold but what can one do? Suppose to get up to the low 40s tomorrow so there is relief ;-)
Have a good day all!

Good morning.
But it can be white without being quite so cold. LOL
Back for my second post. Kristen is making me nuts. She has to do a historically accurate cartoon for History. She's been procrastinating all holidays so I said this morning and tomorrow morning she HAS to work on it because she's going to her Dad's and I didn't want her last day of vacation to be spent doing homework on Sunday. Well the attitude is phenomenal. "What do you have to do?" "I don't know *eyeroll* he said he'd tell us and he didn't. I have a rubric somewhere." "Duh, the rubric is him telling you." "What did you study last few months?" "I don't know I wasn't paying attention." ARRGGGHHHH!!!! That's me slamming my head into the wall. So I make her get her book out and show me the chapters. I said if she can't figure something out she can read it to me since she obviously didn't read it. I gave her three options "Courier de bois" - she can't draw a whole bunch of natives attacking them (good excuse huh?), "The Missionaries" - too religious *eyeroll - mine*, "the Fur Trade" - she can't draw animals. Riiiiiight. So in a huff I told her I gave her 3 choices or some up with her own but there will be no computer or anything fun on Sunday until its done. Sigh.
She's really finding this hard this year (or choosing to). The whole thing about not having her hand held. I told her if she wants the teacher to tell her every single thing to do she better move in with him because he's not going to do it. She doesn't find it interesting so doesn't want to do it. She has to read a biography. She doesn't want to because its not interesting and the teacher said you should only read books that interest you. ARRGGHH!!! I gave the lecture that once you hit university and highschool you don't have a choice. You read the book that is given you, you grit your teeth and you do it. She has this attitude of if she doesn't like it she won't do it. Ummmm. Sorry, doesn't work that way.
Okay, my vent it done. I told her starting next week its one hour of study each night, reviewing what she did, taking notes, etc. I'm just so tired of her "I don't care" attitude.
Oh yeah get that all the time about social studies..."Mommy that is the most boring class...oh no, its arts rotation that is....well whatever"
They always, procrastinate....trying to get them to be proactive/take the initiative is a lifelong process LOL...maybe the cold weather has given Kristen brain freeze, that's what I call it when Rach acts like that ;-)
