Good morning.  DH was out bright and early. The CFO is in townand offered to meet with DH for breakfast.  They woked together for 10 years a life time ago.  He was the one who recruited DH for current job. I'm sure it will be some catch up and some shop talk.  He's got a freelance job tonight.

School and some housework this morning.  We're off to the library this afternoon and then to the dog boutique (to look for socks) and finally the grocery store. Dinner will be blueberry pancakes and sausage.

Another hurried morning for us, late to work, and I know i had Monday and Tuesday off of work, but boy it seems like this week has been a long week!!  Nothing much on the calendar for today as of right now.  I am going to either take a walk at lunch or run an errand.  I am leaning towards a walk since its supposed to be so nice out and then get cold again tomorrow.  Tonight, not a lot going on, laundry, dishes, homework.  I think this is an early night for Jordyn, so I may try and get to the Y when she gets home to watch the girls for me, unless DH is home and up for it and we can all go together.

Have no idea what's for dinner, the last 3 nights dinners have bombed and the kids have not wanted to eat it.  i'm feeling a bit defeated this week with dinners.

Sitting here waiting for DD to get ready for school. I woke up at 4:30 this morning and just got up and got ahead of the day, I am sure I will be paying for this about 2 this afternoon. Tonite is laundry and leftovers for dinner. Not sure what DS has going on after school not sure if he has play practice. DD will work in the library til her brother is ready to go and I will pick them both up.

I meant to post below that your cauliflower chesse thingy recipe sounded hard, but good.  I think we would all like it.

Heather, it wasn't really hard, just a bit time consuming. I hate hate hate doing egg whites to a peak, I have never been good at it. It definitely is "easier" with my kitchen aid mixer DH bought me, but I still don't like doing it. I think that for me what the worst part of the recipe. I am wondering if I can do a large batch of them and then flash freeze them after the stove top portion to freeze a big batch of them for later uses, then I can just take out a few at a time for DH and I for dinners, top them with cheese and then put them in the oven. I am going to try a big batch cook this weekend again if DH doesn't go out of town and I may add them to my list to do.

It snowed.  A little.  We may get more tomorrow night- and i don't know if that would impact Govenor's school auditions on Sat.  i don't even know if Becca still wants it anyways.  We'll cross that bridge if she gets in.  She said she'd do the school orchestra Jr and Sr. year- just wouldn't be able to do the AP classes her sister did.  And I told her it's OK.  Since she doesn't really have a clue as to what she wants to study right now anyways- why push her to take an AP class we're going to have to pay for if she wants college credit for?  I would love for her to take the dual-enrollment English class SR year.

But I don't know if she'll go for it, and I'm done pushing her to do things.   Becca's such a different kid- you push her and she pushes back 10x harder.  She's already told me she's done with the Monday night orchestra.  She can't quit now, we've paid for the whole year, and I'm NOT letting her drop after paying $400+ another $75 for season tickets for DH and I.  But if she has no desire to auditon next year, then so be it.

She has early release today.  They're off Friday.  And then I looked at the school calendar, and I guess they're off Monday too.  Whatever.  It just means that if weather gets bad tomorrow, and we can't get the shopping done that needs to be, she's got Monday to use gift cards, etc.

Just a music lesson tonight.  Trying to catch up on laundry and such that has been on the back burner.  Shoot- I haven't even tackled the mess Kristen left when she went back to college- and she's been back on campus for almost a week now!

Morning, yes it is still morning.  LOL  I have a sick kid home.  Matthew was throwing up this morning and he seems warm to me.  I haven't taken his temp yet cause I just got home from grocery shopping.  Got the girls on their bus and off I was early to get the groceries.  All done and have about half put away.  Tim is home, he wasn't feeling too well this morning either.  Says he's feeling better so hoping he goes into work.  I am suppose to get a call about a job today.  SO EXCITED!!  It's at University of Alabama A&M.  It's here in town but where I am on the south west side of Huntsville this university is on the north east side of Huntsville.  I think I pretty much have the job, the lady is a friend of my mom and she does the hiring cause I will be helping her but the Dr who heads the Department has to also agree.  So we will meet hopefully next week.  It's part time and only part time which is what I am wanting.  Also hoping it means a discount on tuition costs but not sure Matthew would want to attend this University. So not anything going on tonight.  Tim and I decided to have lunch together today.

For dinner we are having steaks and Matthew is suppose to cook them but now I'm not so sure.  He wants to wrap them in bacon.

"I hate hate hate doing egg whites to a peak"

That was the part that made the recipe hard to me:)  I tend to avoid things like that, but they sound so good!  We all eat a wide a variety of veggies, but cauliflower is one we all actually like.

Pumpkin pancakes sound good, that's one I haven't tried making yet. I've see quite a few gluten free pumpkin pancake recipes, but at this point, i am really tired of making things the kids won't eat. I know that down the line, in the long run, i am doing the best for them and hopefully they will thank me, but boy, the amount of backlash I am getting right now really makes me want to throw in the towel at times.
