Good morning ladies, it's Thursday, how are you today!
Good morning ladies. I am home today with Emma. They sent her home from school around 2:30 yesterday with a fever. It broke sometime over night so she'll be back at school tomorrow if nothing changes. We ran her into school today for the class photo and then took Madison to school. Stopped at Michael's for some craft supplies to make a valentine's wreath for the door and now we are home and she is painting while I clean up the house. I would like to work on the two dresses I am making for Madison if I have time, I have some paperwork to do for DH and need to figure out dinner and possibly get some groceries. We'll be picking up Madison near the end of the day.
Have a great one!
Morning. We had a good morning. After I got them all off to school I went grocery shopping. While shopping they started going berserk at the back refrigerators. Removing products and then they started covering some with plastic. I finally over heard what was going on. Oh, they also had the freezers roped off as well. Turns out they weren't maintaining the right temps. So I still need to grab a few freezer things. Nothing going on again tonight.
Still have chicken for dinner. I might use a chicken helper.
I too am home today. DD had an asthma attack at school yesterday, and the dean sent her home. She was running a fever also. Even though she is 14, I worry when her asthma flares up, so we are headed to the doctor this afternoon. She is sleeping right now. Today I am doing laundry and paperwork. Also going through the drawers for a clothing drive at DS school. Tonight the kids will have leftover pizza and a bowl of soup for dinner. DH and I have to go to a fundraiser for DS school. DS has play practice after school. Hope to get home in time to watch Person of Interest.
Hanging here for another 40 mintues to see if Becca calls. She kind of felt cruddy this morning. She couldn't make up her mind whether to stay or not- so I told her to just go in. She missed last bell Monday b/c of a dentist appt. And she's going to miss part of the day (I think) for all-state auditions in a few weeks.
And that. So she comes home yesterday and tells me the plan. Apparently the teacher has to be at JMU when the kids are auditioning. There's 20 or so from our school, and another 20 or so from another school. So they're going to rent a bus, drive there the day before hand ( I didn't get a straight answer if she was going to miss last bell or not) audition and then drive home. Means she misses her sister's concert. Kristen will probably be bummed- but she'll get over it. This way maybe dh and I will drive there Friday and come back Sat after taking her (and this guy she's kind of seeing- I don't know) out to breakfast on Sat.
Bad news- it's another $100 or so. I told Becca that after this, and the trip to the VMEA conference they did in Nov, and the Chicago trip- there was no way she'd be doing SST at James Madison this year. I know it's only another $200- but that's on top of the $700 or so we've spent on these other 2 music events. I want her to audition for All-State, it would be quite cool if she actually made it. She was fine with it. She made the top orchestra there last year, and there's no guarantee from year to year if you'll make the same orchestra or not.
Leftovers for dinner. If she's feeling nasty, I kind of don't want Becca to go to her music lesson. But her teacher is working with her on All-State music, that audition is about 2 weeks away, so she kind of doesn't want to miss.
I'm sorry- I was just looking back at posts (I don't really get on here every day anymore) and I just saw your post about Zeph making the next round of cutoffs for the Geography Bee! Congrats to him!
Hi everyone, happy Thursday. It was a super busy day! The teacher I work with was absent, another TA covered and it was pretty hectic, not everyone was behaving well.
After work, I went food shopping, Dh took Ian to the orthodontist, Kayleigh volunteered at the art center and I passed on Ian's parent teacher conferences, just couldn't get it together in time to be there.
