Good morning ladies!  Not a lot going on here right now, I need to follow up on some projects and close out some things today.  Our internet at work is sketchy at the moment so I am having trouble getting into some of our onine applications to check things.  No plans for lunch right now.  Tonight is lots of laundry and I still need to figure out dinner.

Have a great one!

Morning.  Kids road buses this morning.  I have yet to start work and have not been updated on what is going on yet this week.  Must just be moving through the system very slowly.  *sigh*  I am ready, I am bored and ready for more to do in my day.  Today is my big grocery shopping day.  I am done basically.  I might run to Sams and grab some salsa but I don't know.  So far and not exactly easy to get to.  I am thinking I might go grab lunch for myself as well.  Wonder if anyone would want to go with me.  Tired of doing everything alone.  I need company. But, to the kids.  I almost forgot to give the kids more lunch money this morning.  Katie didn't have enough, the other two would have been find.  I can do it over the computer through PayPams.  Easy as pie.  The girls get to skip PE if they attend the basketball game today.  Not sure when it is, sounded like it was at the end of the day but during school.  Didn't say anything about needing a ride home.  So.......  Matthew gets to skip PE when there is a baseball game.  They sit on the bleachers and watch the game for a grade.  He did that one Friday.  Decided to not stay and watch the whole game though, said it was slow and boring.  Yeah, I agree.....  Not a lot going on today other then that.

Dinner, Hmm.......maybe we will eat out.

Good morning.  I've spent a good portion of the morning returning emails.  We are planing a camping trip to Gettysburg and I am wanting to bring Frodo with (he likes new and it cuts down the cost of the dog sitter), but I'm trying to get a good feel for where he can and can't go that might hinder our sight seeing.  Thankfully, PA seems to be a dog friendly state. My emails have been with tour operators ,etc working on dog details.

I also spent some time training the dogs.  They are both so sweet and well behaved that othe than sit, I haven't bothered with any obedience training.  They've been fiesty with one another lately and I'm pretty sure they have the winter blahs and need some mental work.   Their personalities are so different it's mental work for me to do the training.

Zeph has the morning off of school.  We were going to start bright and early, but then I got sucked into the computer, but he'll probably work until bedtime to make up for it.  The dishwasher is going and I am about to vacuum.  One of the dogs did a half pipe on the wall and left muddy footprints.  I think they are dry enough now to wipe off.

Lunch is a tropical chicken salad  (breast meat, pineapple, mango, green onions, bell peppers, coconut and lime juices) on crossiants with spinich along with fresh pineapple.  It smells delicious.  Dinner is shrimp fried rice with potstickers.

Hey there.  Wanted to touch base with you all  b/c I don't get on here very much.  Sign in issues still.

Kids are fine.  We're going to Lynchburg tomorrow (and spending money that I kind of don't want to- but we promised Kristen, and it's supposed to be a nice B&B)  to see Kristen's concert.  It's the biggest one of the year.  And we'll possibly meet 'the guy" she's "seeing".  I got a phone call last week that this guy had "feelings" for her, and she was kind of scared, but felt the same way.  I told her I don't care- but grades are the #1 priority right now- we aren't paying tuiton, nor is she going into debt just for a relationship.  As long as he's nice and she's happy- we're happy.

I'm hoping the budget crisis isn't going to hit this area as hard as everyone's thinking it might.  One local shipyard sent out 1800 notices that people were going to get laid off next month.  One of the carriers canceled a routine deployment- leaving only 1 aircraft carrier in the Gulf.  The Navy's saying they may have to cancel the Lincoln's routine maintainance- and that's a big contract at dh's company- so people at the company he works at are looking at layoffs.

He says everything's ok.  In fact his department is very busy.  They're talking about mandatory overtime.  However- (and this kind of ticks me off) they aren't going to pay him any more>  I guess b/c he's salaried and they don't have the budget for it.  SIGH.  I guess I should just be thankful that we aren't looking at a furlough or a layoff.  I understand that cuts need to come, we can't keep spending and not having anything to pay for it (I have to balance my budget- the federal government needs to balance theirs).  I just wish that both sides would come to some sort of agreement so that it's not hurting families :(

Off my soapbox now.  Sorry- seqestration is just one of those topics that's kind of hitting close to home :(

Becca goes to All-State auditions tomorrow.  I have no idea how it's going to go.  She doesn't know.  Told her if she makes it fine- if she doesn't fine.

Promised Becca I'd make a batch of cookies and split them between her and Kristen.  And do some cleanup here.  This week has just been busy- one of those weeks that I'm kind of glad I'm not working right now.  I have no idea what Becca's going to do for a ride to/from school in 3 weeks since Pearson hired me for a month or so.  We kind of need the little bit of extra I'm going to make- so if the kid across the street can't get her to school- it's going to be the bus or she's going to have find someone/ walk there. The last couple of days he hasn't been able to take her in/ pick her up and I've had to take her.

Hi everyone. One more wakeup! Hope it's been a good day for all of you.

The kids both have regular school days. Ian has a big science test today.  Kayleigh has GSA and then volunteering at the art center after school - she loves her class there.

I had a workshop this morning. There was some confusion - for weeks, my coworker and I thought it was an all day thing, we got subs for the whole day, etc and then after work yesterday, we found out it was just a half day.  Well, we took the afternoon off.  So now I'm home, getting some cleaning done before the weekend and soon I'm going to try for a nap.

Later on, dinner, Greys and some wine!

Even though is is a short week it seems like the days are just dragging. Since it is just DD and I for dinner tonite I picked up Panda Express on my way home. I hope to get a bit of laundry done and just relax. Tomorrow I have a short day at work and a doctors appointment in the afternoon. Not much going on. Hope everyone in the Midwest is doing OK with the storms.
