Its going to be a busy day, I can already tell.  We have a rush project to get out the door by Tuesday, but a very complicated one.  I also have some things that need to be wrapped up before my old boss goes on vacation next week that we are working on jointly.  I hae a 10:00 meeting this morning, run down to say hi at the legal department summer luncheon at noon, and then a telephone conference at 1:00.  Jordyn gets home from cheer camp today, we dropped her car off at the school last night since we don't know what time they are getting back to the school and DH is out of town on a job today.  I have at on of paperwork and cleaning to do tonight.  I am in the mood just to throw everything away lately, the mess and clutter is just stressing me out.  So I am hoping to start making headway on that before school starts in 2 1/2 weeks.

We are having chicken rollitini with ricotta and spinach and I am going to try a new recipe for sauteed brussel sprouts, wish me luck with this one!  Have a great day everyone!

I packed up 8 boxes of kitchen servingware (casserole dishes, fancy platters, etc.) and have those ready to move today.  I also weeded through the receipts and found the Old Navy ones I needed to return some items.  I also took down a curtain/rod,  bulletin board, and dry erase board.  Then I took the dog for a long walk.  While humid, there is a nice breeze and it was so quiet out!

DH has 2 shelves to take down (I can't reach them there's a desk in the way) and he can rehang those today along with everything I else I took down.  DH needs to go to Old Navy for returns and then Lowes t obuy lightbulbs for the new chandelier & a 'Beware of Dog' sign.

We'll be at my ILs most of the afternoon.  Zeph has some school to do. I'm hoping to bring it with us, but we'll see.  Tonight more watching of Roots.  No more restaurants-dinner at home.  The boys requested grilled steak and potatoes with a salad.  Off to the grocery store!

Morning everyone. Nothing planned except more work around the house and some time at the desk at work this morning. Good thing... Since my life is never without drama, the late evening last night felt it necessary to provide some. Long story but I'll try to shorten it. Dh was working late last night so since the kids are gone, We agreed that late Aikido class (8:00) was okay for him. Well, on his way out and while he was driving home he got some
threatening texts from the guy that was fired, pulled over to forward them to a lawyer, started driving again and heard the buzzing indicating more texts. That distracted him and he rear ended someone. Because our financial situation and the age of the car he was driving, the plates were expired, and it is not insured. He called me and I burst into tears imagining all sorts of terrible scenarios. Story ends well though, responding officer was "out of tickets" and experiencing computer trouble. The company's lawyer is going to help us figure out how to handle paying for the damage. Our car is definitely crunched in the front and the other vehicle had some damage. By the time he got home and we had a chance to talk it through and wind down it was after 1a.m.

Today I want to continue working on things around the house and maybe do some weeding. The front lawn really needs it.

Tonight I just want to have a nice relaxing evening with dh. We both need it...

I'm sorry Ami! It sounds like it should all end well, but I know in the short term with everything going on, I would have cried too! Hugs to you guys and I hope it all gets sorted out quickly!

Hi all. It's hot and sticky here. One more day of summer school left. It was a prettty relaxed day at work.  After work, I had lunch with 4 work friends, now I'm home doing a little of this and that.  This evening, I'm going out for ice cream with a friend, that will probably be my dinner. Hope to have time to clean out my closet, do some reading and work on my cross stitch.  Kayleigh vacuumed for me and ran an errand, and is still working on her common app and things like that

No one is back to school yet, but things are heating up (meet-and-greets, IEP open house, teacher meeting, student leaders' meeting and safety patrol meeting in the next few weeks!). Today we spent all day at the Field Museum in Chicago since dd19's last day of work was yesterday and she is returning to college on Saturday. Dh and dd21 worked, but the boys and we loved it. Tomorrow dh, the boys and I have a Cubs game with ds10's godfather, who invites us once a year. I only wish I didn't have to brave Chicago traffic twice in two days (I'm picking up dh at work downtown so he can get a half day in).

Summer is nice :smileyhappy:
