Morning all. It was a good Halloween but not very many kids considering it was perfect weather. Kristen was out for nearly 2 hours and for that amount of time she did not come home with tons. More than enough but I expected her to come home with massive amounts. She said on some streets only 4 or 5 houses would be lit up and giving out candy. Guess our neighborhood is changing although we have lots of kids around it seems.
I am not going into work today. I have to take Kristen's oboe in to be repaired (which she forgot at school yesterday so I am driving her this morning so she can give it to me). She needs it for a test on Monday and the repair place is about 45 min. from here (big mistake going with that company, I didn't realize how far out in the boonies they were) and then I have a dentist appointment later. Kristen has volleyball tryouts again tonight and she's supposed to go to her Dad's so they are going to have a quick dinner here after volleyball to miss the traffic back to his place. So a busy day despite no work.
good morning..........we still have candy, toys, and cards left over anyone want them...LOL All is good, Jackie is at home again today. She is doing better now with a sore throat.... but all is well. Sending her to school tomorrow. So all is well.
Hey everyone... We had a very fun Halloween. Kids had a great time and even did a good deed. Some how (I don't remember how) a dog escaped from his house and they ran into the owner looking for it. A little while later they saw it, borrowed a leash and took it home (after it escaped again). Evan caught it (twice) and Megan found the house by recognizing the owner. yeah for my kids!!!
Today I had a piano lesson and took Evan a shirt he needed (and forgot) for a drama performance. When I dropped it off, he was walking into his classroom with a cafeteria lunch. I had packed him a lunch this morning and he couldn't find it (I later found it in the car)so he bought his lunch. Guess what... I packed the lunch because we need to save money! I was really upset but managed to keep my cool in the classroom. Guess what he's having for lunch tomorrow!! :)
This afternoon I'm headed to his drama performance (my dad may join us) and then it's the usual running around after school (gymnastics, clubs, swim practice, etc.) and my dad is taking us out to dinner later. (Thank goodness. Money is really tight and the longer we can last on what's in the freezer, the better).
Great Halloween here last night. We took Alexis and three of her friends T-O-Ting along with ds. They got plenty of candy and had a blast. Took them for a quick bite to eat afterwards and we were all home by 9 or so. Alexis and her friend were a hit last night dressed as a two headed person (I'd post pix if I knew how!).
Today is my ds's conference and Alexis has to demonstrate at dance tonight. I have a mountain of laundry I have successfully ignored for a few days now.......guess I better just do it.
