A 3 yr old and her mother were kicked off an airplane b/c the girl was crying too much..here is the article:

I'm a bit unclear on your statement. Who exactly are you saying should have done this? The flight crew, the passengers?

Think for just a minute - if you're out in public with a toddler whos throwing a tantrum and the "appropriate child psychology" doesn't work to calm her, what then? I personally have removed my own kids from such situations.

I've worked nearly my entire life with the airlines and applaud Air Tran for taking action. It's not their job to parent this child even though it appears as if her own can't. Airlines depend on satisfied customers and that usually comes when people depart / arrive on time.

It's also unfortunate that the one sided article failed to mention these parents WERE offered another flight later, but turned it down because it was a connection (last one avail into Boston) and they made the choice not to take it.

And just for the record, I do like children, have 4 of my own, but what I also like are people who take responsibility and parent their child.
