Isn't it always the case that kids get sick on the most inconvenient days? My dd came home yesterday with a fever or 102. My son had a neurological/educational evaluation for 2 days last week. Today is the day we go for the results. We spent quite a bit on it and it's hopefully going to finally pin down his specific issues. I'm nervous about it for some reason even though intellectually I know it doesn't change who he is one bit.
The place we went is an hour and a half away and it's a 2 hr meeting. I can't bring my dd. Luckily my sil doesn't go to work til later and her hubby can have dd over there while we're gone.
Howdy, I have a list of things i have to get done today. My dad is coming to stay the weekend and I need a bed cleaned for him.... so I am busy busy this afternoon once i get home. I also have a list at work that i have to finish up with.
I am working today and then my girls have 2 softball games to play this evening. After that we are headed to home finish straightening up the house for a final inspection/appraisal.
I'm also spending much time worrying about 13 yo SD who lives in another state and contemplating what we can do for her. DH got a call from the Board of Eduaction that she had been arrested at school for posession of Marijuana. Her mother is a nightmare when it comes to this stuff.
I got braces yesterday! AAAH! I will be trying to keep the pain away. I had braces as a kid, but my teeth got crooked again and I've always been bothered by them. Now I have a little buyer's remorse going on. They're expensive, and my 10 yr. old has them now, too. But I think the results will be worth it, it's just going to take almost 2 more years for me! Has anyone had braces as an adult? I'm taking advil and tylenol today and hoping it gets a little better before I go into work!
I had them as a child, too. The treatment coordinator for Aly (who just happens to be a little older than me come to find out) was saying that my retainers should still fit me. They did a few years ago, but I threw them away about 2 years ago--I thought how disgusting! My teeth have spaced a little but they were so tight that I really couldn't floss. It was the regular flossing that separated them.

I didn't mention yesterday that I am now a licensed home day care provider (as of Dec '06).
